	@FanOfYoshi you probably won't see this and you might know now, but just for future reference: the higher-poly ones are used in battles, the Pokédex menu, etc. while the lower-poly ones are used in the overworld. Same deal with trainer models. Gen 6 also had that, but only certain characters had battle/cutscene models. With LGP/E onward, they just have one high-poly model for all purposes per character and Pokémon, since the Switch can handle that.
