@TheEliteGojira I agree, this could've been a classic and ported HD onto Rare Replay or the Xbox 360 Arcade. Now it's stuck in Gamecube aftermarket purgatory.

@BlueSatoshi More specifically, Shigeru Miyamoto looked at the protagonist of the game, thought it looked like Fox, and told Rare to make it a Star Fox game.

Not a tech demo; a game. It was originally gonna be an original game called Dinosaur Planet, then because reasons (most likely troubled production) Nintendo had Star Fox shoehorned in there.

This game was originally a tech demo for the n64. This is simply a leftover from that.
