@aldwascool At least they did their research, knowing this would end up culturally insensitive had they not scrapped the idea of putting this in-game. Unlike a certain developer of a MMO I play who failed at it. Will not understand why they don't bother changing the item into something else or just delete it's code off completely.

Japanese people usually aren't as sensitive to western standards of political correctness, so they're more likely to mess up like this.

fun fact: this is shown on the hat shop model, but only in the plaza, and it's a completely different model instead of this high quality one (i think)

Look, I never want to make my voice go over those who are actually American Indian, but I have got evidence to back what I'm ralking about, here: https://www.thestoryoftexas.com/discover/artifacts/comanche-war-bonnet
https://tribaltradeco.com/blogs/teachings/the-significance-of-the-native-american-headdress
these are 2 websites that talk about the very real cultural importance it has, which should tell you why it should not be shown like this.

What I want to know is how many of the so-called "cultural representatives and activists" are actual Native Americans, and not the "Elizabeth Warren" type of fake "Native American." Since whenever people pretend sombreros are offensive to Latin Americans, actual Latin Americans merely see it as celebrating their culture and get mad at it being censored.

"Native American cultural representatives and activists have expressed offense at what they deem the cultural appropriation of wearing and displaying of such headdresses, and other "indigenous traditional arts and sacred objects" by those who have not earned them, especially by non-Natives as fashion or costume."
It takes one google search to learn why.

Unused because wearing these is offensive now instead of being about embracing the culture.
