	Yes, the Smashville character models are pretty much directly from Animal Crossing.

	I think its because its a stage element, which usually are lower in quality than other in-game models. Not to mention, the stage they are featured in (Smashville) is meant to reflect the Animal Crossing Style. Hence, they use such a style.
