Even though this is the updated version, I still think the N64 version is more visually appealing. Maybe it's just me.

I still think Nintendo should remake this again, maybe for the Switch. That'd be awesome.

True, but it's optimized better and is overall less primitive than the N64's.

That moment when Mario's model on a more powerful console is lower poly than N64 Mario...
Jun 21, 2017, 7:01 PM
It's actually 64 bits. The GBA was 32-bits tho.
The Mario and Luigi models are different from NSMB btw.

This proves that you can make better games this with even less power.

@xSuperMario64x idk what are you talking about, the ds version looks and plays far better, the original looks like absolute garbage compared to this imo

It's crazy to think that DS models look worse than N64 models but...

they really do.

@Deep Web exactly

Super Mario 64
On a 32-bit console

Yeah, New Super Mario Bros. reuses the models from this game, and since those models were ripped first, they wouldn't be accepted.
Jan 28, 2017, 12:36 PM
mario and luigi models would probably be rejected anyways since the NSMB models were ripped first

I've ripped Peach's Castle. I really hope it gets approved.
Jul 4, 2016, 9:26 AM
MIPS doesn't even appear in the DS version, though. but regular bunnies do, could you try those?
Jul 4, 2016, 2:38 AM
I already tried to rip Mario's model.
I ultimately failed though. The texture mapping was way off.
I might give MIPS a shot though.
Jul 3, 2016, 1:21 PM
If it isn't too much trouble, could someone please rip the Mario model? And possibly the MIPS model too? If so, that'd be awesome! :)

I've ripped one test room. I'm just waiting for it to be approved. Hopefully it's approved soon. ;)
Jun 20, 2016, 9:11 PM
someone should rip the test room(s) if someone can.

Why do the textures for DS games look so nasty? Looks like a weird mix of the worst from the PS1 and N64 to me.
Jan 23, 2016, 6:09 AM
I made sure I uploaded the normal mario, and I always use the latest version :)
Jan 17, 2016, 6:14 AM
Balloon Mario is a separate model. Make sure you are using the latest build of SM64DSe too.
Dec 31, 2015, 10:58 AM
I would of guessed that would of been an animation rather than a separate model.
Oh and I uploaded the real Mario, Yoshi and Wario models, I will get to Luigi later.
EDIT: Luigi has a texture defect on his feet :(
Dec 31, 2015, 4:19 AM
I'm pretty sure that "inflated" Mario model you found is Balloon Mario, one of his in-game power-ups.
Dec 12, 2015, 4:18 AM
Something tells me that that weird Mario model was the real one. And there is no sign of Luigi, Wario and Yoshi's models yet.
EDIT: Good news, I found the real Mario model, Luigi's model, Wario's Model and Yoshi's Model in arc0.narc :)

Ok, I will try and check once I am done ripping Banjo-Kazooie models, thx!
Nov 27, 2015, 11:27 PM
I think I saw that Mario, too. I'm pretty sure it was not the main Mario model.
