@Jasper438: Oh my goodness, this is so tedious.. I wasn't expecting it to be so hard. I seriously wonder if I'm doing something wrong. Do you think you could put in a little more detail how the pathID stuff works? I'm really confused by it..

Edit: I think I missed a bunch of materials, and that’s why I couldn’t find anything. I’ll be sure to PM you if you don’t see this.

You can revise models by clicking on the little pencil icon to the right of a model's name.

By the way, I have PMd you with the tutorial on how to rip Genshin Impact character models with rigging. It might seem like a bit much at first, but I am sure you'll get the hang of it.

Perhaps we can update this section together?

@Jasper7438: Ah, okay. It’s great to know that! I’d love to add rigs to some of the models on here, but I don’t know if I can change them.

You had asked me if I was going to tell you how to rip the characters with rigs after I had already said it in the post. Instead of creating another comment, I just made it more obvious that I would do so.

@Jasper7438: Is there a reason that "with rigging" is red?

@Jasper7438: Ah, okay. Is it a really tedious task? You're also telling me how to rip the rigs, right?

Edit: Would you know how to import the textures into blender? That's the program I use.

I could take a look at the issue.

Additionally, I didn't forget about telling you how to get the character models with rigging. I've been caught up playing Splatoon 3 + I've been on a scavenger hunt looking for textures, see below. I am still looking for textures, this is not complete.

@Jasper7438: Do you know why some of the MMD models have clear parts? (Only in cycles)

Edit: I tried converting it to blender but it didn't work.

@Jasper7438: Awesome! I would love to try and contribute to this site a little more. :P

Hi, I can PM you with the method. Good thing you already have the program needed!

@Jasper7438: What did you use to extract them? I used a modded version of asset studio called HoYoStudio and I don't see an easy way to just, find the character. And I also don't know how to extract bones. (If you can't answer these questions, it's completely fine.)

@Jasper7438: Oh, actually, nvm. I found a link to almost every model.

Link here: [hyperlink blocked]
It's actually official from HoYoLab I'm pretty sure. I saw it from a post on the site.

Edit: It'd actually still be useful to know 'cause they only have the playable characters.

@Jasper7438: Could you explain to me? Or is it really complicated or something. If it's too complicated for me I'd love to have Diona uploaded with a rig.

It is possible. I downloaded the game just to see if there was a way and ripped this character [Kuki Shinobu].

@Jasper7438: Is there not a way to rip rigs? I've always wondered.

If anyone noticed that the MDD models are shaded weird then I'd suggest changing the toon texture on all of them to Toon 7 to 10.
The toon textures are found at "%C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.2\scripts\addons\mmd_tools\externals\MikuMikuDance"

I think it was most likely just a one off, I cannot find any other officially released models.

@Jasper7438 Have they released more models like this ever since or is it a one-off?

Since these all appear to be .obj models, they cannot be posed unless you were to add your own skeleton to them. That would not be easy to do as the clothes/hair of these models are complex. You could give it a shot using Blender [whether through the default armature creation tools or an optionable plug in like Rigify].

As an alternative, Mihoyo has released official MMD models of most of these characters, as mentioned earlier in this comment section. Though according to those comments, the MMD models are not identical to the final in-game models. However, they are rigged.

You could import these MMD models into Blender using an add-on called MMD Tools.

Having the same issue with Armatures, I have no knowledge of any way these models can be posed ;-;

Why is there no armature to the models? They're all obj rather than something with a rig. Is there any way they can actually be posed in blender?

@KurainoOni The MMD models are the old beta models if I recall correctly, given entirely different more complicated messier rigs from their in-game rigs

Oh that is curious. The models faces are different in the game, compared to the MMD Models, that MiHoYo released themselves.
