I think it maybe has to do with the fact that Link's model works differently from regular one's.
Which is outrageous, because the way he can be ripped currently, is 100% accurate to the original source.

Let me clarify:

Link has additional geometry behind the face. This is done for a very specific reason. When a directional light comes from above or below at more straight angles, his forehead normals mess up, creating a large divide in light intensity across his entire face. With the geometry inside, it smoothes that out.

He also has a ton of separate hand models. His gameplay model doesn't have rigged fingers and uses a complex system that switches out the hand models for each situation. Going from idle to running f.e. switches out his normal loose hand model for balled fist hands.

The large amount of weaponry and equipment is always grouped with naming convention so that each hand model belongs to each piece of equipment.
I think the few instances Link got uploaded for approval, people didn't get this right.

Man this game would look so lit with some normal mapping and light sources, imagine if Navi lit stuff up and it looked textured

would be nice to access to the uploaded files so I can decide for myself if I can use something or not. I can wait on models, but I imagine all the environments would have been ripped by now, right?

Just as a small sidenote, the split rooms were a thing in the og game, and since the engines legit just the original with tweaks to allow the new formats and such, game has to remain the same. Also, a buddy is working on a new viewer that is better, can rip rigging, and much more. Don't expect it for awhile tho

N3DSCmbViewer is all I got, apart from cmab extractor.
As you can see in the picture above, the possessed Gerudo perfectly able to be ripped with the viewer. You just need to align and rotate all the armor pieces into place. Now the skinning and skeleton, that's a whole new difficulty.. :o

@Alvarezmd90 know of any other program to export the models? im trying to get the iron knuckle, but N3DSCmbViewer is really buggy and most of the time doesnt export textures, materials and uv maps

A warning to everyone using N3DSCmbViewer. It exports in a terribly unoptimized way. Doubles, tripples and sometimes even more amounts of unused vertices and information that causes the filesize to be unreasonably large. I suggest opening up the exported dae file into Blender and remove all loose vertices for each mesh node.

Temple of time is: tokinoma_0/(1)_info. Split into two separate files.
One of each room, the sword room and the entrance hall. For optimisation and culling reasons, unfortunately, each other room in one of these represents the other, so overlapping geometry if combined. That, and the N3DSCmbViewer only stores rgb values into the vertex colour slots.. but the alpha values get lost, meaning all the light shafts will look opaque and incorrect.
