1-The things they wanted to do in the cutscenes were too complex to do in the gameplay engine, so they just did them from scratch using the in-game assets.

2. To save on space that would be needed for extra models, animation data and voice clips.

Quick fun fact I learned: The characters become slightly smaller when driving this vehicle. It can clearly be seen when switching between it and the Standard Kart on the vehicle select screen.

The two characters that made a whole bunch of players unreasonably angry. They're the only character, since brawl, that can change style like Zelda before SSB4. They're a very fun character to play, the some of their alternate costumes are pretty nice, the colours of the 7th looks like a gundam or something.

@xSuperMario64x go into the shading tab on top bar and select the eye material. All you have to do is connect the alpha output of the image texture to the principled BDSF alpha input. When I loaded this in blender, the material settings were weird as well, and I had to set all of the materials' metallic, roughness, and IOR values to 1 in the materials tab of the sidebar.
