As of Blender 2.81, EEVEE now handles alpha blend transparency in a similar manner to how this game handles it! Expect an easier time getting these ghosts to look right in your most recent project.

Dark Moon models were made by NLG (Next Level Games) and still haven't been decoded yet, which is notorious for NLG.
