I applied all the textures in Blender Cycles, and the hair is blue
EDIT: nvm just gotta put the textures for the hair on manually

UV mapping on face parts is kinda messed up, at least in 3DS Max. You can see seems on his moustache and the left half of the tongue wraps over to part of the moustache.
also, please include the hatless model for when you have max lives (if its different from small mario)

Ah, I eventually figured that out. I think I exported the model through noesis before putting it into 3DS Max. So I know the blue textures are normal maps but what are these black and white ones?

@OneOfficialShot bro ignore my previous comment! I watched the 5 part series Darren Lile has and it was awesome! It really helped a lot!!! Thanks a lot man :D If you want I can send u a in-finished copy of my game or post a link to its YouTube vid in about 2-4weeks :D

Hey @OneOfficialShot, thanks for the reply, I found a fully animated mario 3d model in fbx format; I then put it into Unity but cannot animate it properly (the animations are already included) could u please guide me or help? heres the link: https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-24054.html

Hey rockyroller12, First of all, you should learn some basics in Blender , which is awesome and open source. Import the models that you downloaded from this site. Then import that model to blender(usually the files are in .dae format). Then follow the Youtube videos of Darren Lile about character rigging (because you want to apply skeleton for this mesh). The best part is that, He have both the tutorials for how to animate and import to Unity. Hope this helps

@Pierce1995 I forgot to tell you to click the checkerboard textured sphere (i see a pattern here) that's where the textures are applied

@Kajabberguy Hi and thanks for the help. Not sure if i'm just being dumb but I can't get it to do anything. I'm actually using this model in my example http://www.models-resource.com/gamecube/supermariosunshine/model/97/
I clicked the checkered icon, added the texture made it image and movie type and chnaged generated to UV, however nothing seems to happen and I cannot find a way/button to apply the actual texture?

@Pierce1995 go to the menu on the right. find the bar of icons towards the top and click the checkerboard icon. once you are there, add a texture and make it image or movie type. then go to the file icon to browse your computer's picture files. then scroll down until you find a button that says generated. click it and change it to UV. I hope I was helpful.

Hi guys I'm fairly new to this stuff. I'm not great with 3D modelling or animation but I'm trying to aquire a pre-built model with the animations. My intention is to import this into unity to use in a game I'm creating. However what I find when I download most models from here is that the textures for the model are in separate png files (in most cases) I'm using blender, any idea how I'm supposed to apply the textures to the model? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Thanks for clearing that out, I've never been so convinced by a model being reused, that's probably because Nabbit's model is a simple shape. :P

@Nintega Dario: Judging by how none of the character models in any of the Olympics games are re-used from other games, I think it's safe to say that the one in the Rio Olympics is a brand new model, too.

Yeah, I did it. There's some of my few friends able to get Sochi 2014 Olympic Games models. Whatever reason they don't publish a stuff. :P

Do you agree that the Nabbit model in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games looks like it was taken out of SSBU, if it is then that's kind of a slick move for Nintendo and SEGA to pull. XD
