@Ayumi Shinto It was originally released for Windows exclusively in Japan. It came to the west on PC many years later, but the PSP version had already been out by then.

I think (after watching Game Theory's video on YT about how Link in Majora's Mask is actually dead) that this was a real asset they were going to use in the game, but decided not to (for some reason). To me, this just confirms that Link, just like the other people who turned into masks, is dead and was from the beginning of the game.
