This has been a few years in the works as I always procrastinated uploading these Mobius FF Model Assets. These are the raw bundles, so you'll need AssetStudio to rip them. These were downloaded from the Japanese version a few weeks before shutdown so hopefully nothing is missing. (They aren't zipped by default due to how long they were taking when I was zipping them and I couldn't be bothered to wait for them)

The reason we require it to be used offline is because running this processing at the time of submission is just too resource-intensive. Since a zip is required for the final upload, each submission would need to be unzipped to a temporary location and have JavaScript run against the files on the server-side (which isn't exactly straightforward and also a security concern and while I imagine the functionality could be reproduced with PHP, that still doesn't change the unzip requirement or potential security concerns) before being processed, returning errors and requiring re-upload in the event that it wasn't ready. Beyond that, it doesn't catch everything and is meant to be used as a reference for your own readiness so having it be an official part of the upload process, assuming we could get past the performance and security concerns, still wouldn't really be the best way to implement this.

I do understand if there's hesitance to run a file on your own computer and you certainly aren't required to to so. The hope of providing the download directly from the site rather than something like a Google Drive link from Peardian is that it comes from a trusted source (and we do verify anything we offer for download is safe) but if you're not comfortable with it, you can certainly skip that step though you may wind up having submissions rejected that could have been fixed easily otherwise.

@LeonidaselXD: It's short for "StudioMDL Data", and it's a format used primarily for compiling into Source Engine games (especially Garry's Mod or Source Filmmaker).

It's a format that can also be imported in programs such as 3DS Max and Blender via external plugins, and supports bone structures and rigging just like FBX/DAE does. I also include .SMD format models alongside my own uploads for that reason.

I believe they did, if you already made the models but don't want to create new ones. Just reuse them for other projects. Other than the humans, Pikachu, and various stuff in the game, most of the stuff is reused. (Some of the models I am aware are missing on there)
