Check the first comment on the game page. TLDR: The Splatoon 3 .BFRES importer that Centrixe uses does not support Splatoon 3 rigs as of yet. Too bad comments cannot be pinned, many people have been asking this. |

SonicFan is correct. 3DS max isn't the only way to rip switch models, Switch Toolbox is an alternative option that can rip Splatoon 3 models with rigging. |

noah is correct. centrixe said this on the main splat3 page if anyone missed it! "Ah, so... since Spoon 3 uses an upgraded .BFRES format, these models will be temporarily .OBJ until the .BFRES importer can be updated to support the newer rigging. I wanna provide you all with something rather than nothing! Once that's done, everything uploaded until then will be revised to include .DAE and .FBX like S2. Some NPC's may include a little polygonal surprise after they've been accommodated for as well; please stay tuned for that, too!" |

@Noah Infinity I think it kind of switches back and forth, I've noticed (especially in the last cutscene of hero mode) really smooth mouth movements for the player but in the plaza they use the dif mouth models technique (or maybe the transition is just much more harsh?), I dont remember about the npcs tho, I know marie's mouth movements seemed really sharp |

@Donowa I think it's because of the way the original MIPS processor worked. My best guess for this would be that the model's armature poses were angled like that when developing the game, so the developers had to improvise when trying to modify the model after the first draft. |
